Python for Cyber Security Professionals 3-Day Course
This hands-on 3-day Python programming course provides students with the knowledge and training to develop and maintain effective Python programs/ scripts. Students will learn to create Python scripts using functions, modules, classes, and much more as part of Python’s object-orientated paradigm. Students will learn how to utilize Python to create scripts that manipulate data, automate tasks, perform error handling, and store and retrieve data.
The class will provide hands on exercises to reinforce learning and develop real competency. Furthermore, students will be guided through the process of developing and testing security tools utilizing Python scripts. To conclude the course, students will participate in a capstone event to fortify knowledge and skills gained during the course.
Course includes the following takeaway items: Training books, reference materials and a copy of VM with Python scripts

Cyber Defense Analyst
Uses data collected from a variety of cyber defense tools (e.g., IDS alerts, firewalls, network traffic logs) to analyze events that occur within their environments for the purposes of mitigating threats.
Cyber Defense Incident Responder
Investigates, analyzes, and responds to cyber incidents within the network environment or enclave.
Information Systems Security Developer
Designs, develops, tests, and evaluates information system security throughout the systems development life cycle.
